The City & Guilds 2377-77 Level 3 Award in the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (603/6790/8) training course now covers a wider range of Electrical Equipment Testing (EET) and has been updated by City & Guilds in November 2020.

The scope of the testing covered has been expanded so much that soon it will no longer be referred to as a PAT testing course.

Course Overview

This is the brand new 2 day course launched by C&G in 2020 and replaces the previous C&G 2377-22 and 2377-32 Qualifications with one simple unified qualification. The courses include both theory and practical elements at such:

  • Day 1 – Covers the theory of In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. Reference will be made to the Code of Practice. Practical examples will be used and demonstrated throughout. Homework in preparation for the exam will be provided.
  • Day 2 – Practical demonstrations and a chance to use the equipment. This will be followed by the assessments in the afternoon.
