The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is a five days’ course designed for the existing construction site managers, site supervisors and project managers to improve their managing of health and safety and CDM knowledge.
Past site management experience is desirable but not required. You’ll gain the required confidence to carry out your management of health and safety responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
Potential candidates must be able to demonstrate to us they can meet the requirements of the qualification before enrolment through our initial assessment.
The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is being delivered over a period of five days’ and there’s a 100% classroom attendance required.
The course is being delivered and assessed via classroom training and at the end of the course you’ll have to sit a paper-based multiple-choice test to achieve this qualification.
The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is being delivered via classroom training over five days. All individuals must attend to all 5 days of the Managing of Health and Safety Course.
A high level of support will be provided by your Tutor/Trainer which will enable you to understand the principles of managing the health and safety on a construction site and what the CDM Regulations are.
After course completion, this qualification enhances employment opportunities within the UK Construction Industry as a Site Manager, but you’ll also require an NVQ.
• Your CITB SMSTS Certificate will be valid for five years’ – you will not receive a CSCS Card.
• This course certificate is awarded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and is also endorsed with your CSCS Registration.
