Electrical Testing and Fault finding for Gas Engineers (EFTGE) Module 2 and 4 is a 2-days training course is ideal for Gas Engineers, Plumbers and/or Heating Engineers and Installers, looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of Domestic Gas Electrical Systems and Fault Finding.
This essential 2-days course will explain the fundamentals of electrical safety and how appliances and systems work. You will also learn the methodology of fault diagnostics. All the required knowledge and understanding will be evaluated through the theory and practical modular assessments at our training centre in Hemel Hempstead.
The EFTGE Course has been designed for Gas Engineers, Plumbers and/or Heating Engineers and Installers, looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of Domestic Gas Electrical Systems and Fault Finding.
All applicants must hold the relevant ACS qualifications in the area of their work eg. CCN1 (Core Gas Safety), CENWAT (Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters), HTR1 (Fires), DAH1 (Warm Air Units) and CKR1 (Cookers).

Day 1 – Basic Electrical Fundamentals & Health, Safety and Safe Isolation of Electrical Equipment
Day 2 – How Gas Appliances and Controls Systems Work
Day 3 – Fault Finding Techniques and Product Replacement
Completing all four modules is a three day programme. We can tailor the delivery of this training, please call us to discuss further.
Note: Candidates not wishing to undertake the ducted air heaters and cooker elements may be able to complete the above 3 day programme in 2 days.
