
This intensive, short (5 Days) Introduction to Plumbing Course is designed for individuals seeking foundational plumbing skills. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate accredited by CDC Group and assured by City & Guilds.
This course is suitable for those interested in gaining an introductory understanding of plumbing, potentially with the intention of pursuing further qualifications in the field.
If you are looking to start a career in plumbing and would like to have a ‘taster’ initial course, then this course is for you.
This intensive course focuses on gaining essential practical skills in Plumbing. This ensures that when a prospective candidate completes their qualification, they will have gained vital practical experience and some expectation of the situation they could face in a job role within the plumbing sector.
Our Introduction to Plumbing Course is a practical based training programme delivered at our purpose-built plumbing training centre facility in Hemel Hempstead. Your course will be delivered by a highly qualified and experienced Trainer who has comprehensive plumbing and teaching expertise.
You can complete this course in 3 consecutive days in week one, following another 2 consecutive days in week 2. Alternatively, you can attend this course part-time on a 1-day-per-week attendance basis.
We currently have availability to take aspiring candidates on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays every week for this course.
Over a period of 5 days (8.30am to 4.30pm), your training course will cover a range of skills training required by anyone aspiring to become a plumber, as such:
How you’ll learn: This course is entirely hands on and is ideal for anyone looking to learn basic domestic plumbing but additionally can act as a great taster course for anyone who is considering plumbing qualifications and a career as a Plumber. The course will cover all of the obvious issues that can arise within a domestic property in an attempt to teach you how to deal with certain things but more importantly, will provide guidance on when/if you really do need to call out a Plumber.
Practical Assessment:Â At the end of your practical training course with us, you’ll be assessed on how to create a combined frame, by way of using all the different pipework above to their correct measurements. You will be required to, individually create angled with copper pipework, passovers and offsets to their correct height, following a pressure test by way of using a hydraulic tester.
Successful candidates will be issued a CDC Accredited Training Certificate, assured by City & Guilds.
This qualification is beneficial for any individual with no prior knowledge and understanding of the plumbing sector but is keen to get started in the industry.
There are no formal entry requirements to enrol for this course.
